Lauren Bush Lauren: Founder and CEO
Lauren Bush Lauren is the Founder and CEO of FEED. In 2004, Lauren became the Honorary Student Spokesperson for the UN World Food Programme. In that role, she traveled to various countries and learned about the issues of hunger and poverty firsthand. Coming back to America, Lauren was inspired to create a consumer product that would engage people in the seemingly overwhelming fight to end world hunger. In 2007, she founded FEED after designing the initial FEED 1 bag which, when purchased, feeds one child in school for one year.
Lauren is also the Chairman of the Board of the FEED Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports programs and organizations that are effectively working to fight hunger and eliminate malnutrition throughout the world.
For her work with FEED, Lauren was named one of Fortune Magazine’s Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs in 2009 and one of Inc. Magazine’s 30 Under 30 in 2010. She has also received the 2010 Accessories Council Humanitarian Award, the 2011 Stevie Award for Best Non-Profit Executive, the 2011 Fashion Group International Humanitarian Award and the 2013 Women in Communications Award (WiCi).
Lauren also routinely speaks at global conferences that focus on business, philanthropy and the issues of hunger and poverty. Examples include Forbes 400 Summit on Philanthropy, Forbes Women, Women in the World, Atlantic Ideas, Aspen Ideas, Women in Entrepreneurship and Politico, Google and Tory Burch’s Women Rule.
Lauren was born in Denver, Colorado, and grew up in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Princeton University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and certificate in Photography. She now resides in New York City, where she works on FEED and other socially conscious ventures.
Emily Corker: Manager of Product Development
Emily joined FEED in 2011 upon graduating from the University of Georgia with her Bachelors Degree in International Relations. Prior to joining the team, she gained an understanding and appreciation for FEED's mission through her studies and time spent abroad. Given her creative passion, she and Lauren quickly became design collaborators and enjoy working closely on product development.
Melissa Crossley: Manager of Sales & Operations
Melissa joined FEED from Bloomingdale’s 59th St. where she was an Assistant Selling Manager. Melissa attended LIM College where she earned her BBA in Fashion Merchandising.
Originally from Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, Melissa moved to NYC in 2005 to attend school and has never left.
Kristina Fell: Vice President, General Manager
Kristina joined FEED in 2009 as the Director of Operations. She previously worked at Columbia University as a communications and marketing manager for the university. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Columbia in 2005, along with a Master of Arts degree in 2009. She also serves as the Treasurer of the Board of the FEED Foundation.
Kristina grew up just outside of Cleveland, Ohio and came to New York in 2001 to go to school and play basketball for the Columbia Lions. Her favorite bag is the FEED 1 bag, and she knows the FEED motto that burlap goes with every outfit.
Scott Fell: Vice President, Finance
Scott came to us from San Francisco, California, where he spent eight years at Gap Inc. before his move to New York City. He held various corporate positions within the company as well as within the Online Division, where his focus was on strategic growth initiatives. Prior to his tenure at Gap Inc., Scott worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Cleveland, Ohio, and was a member of their award-winning Financial Services team.
Scott has a BS in Accounting and Finance from Case Western Reserve University.
Jenny Johns: Vice President, Marketing
Before joining FEED in 2011, she was an English teacher and content team leader in the South Bronx as a Teach For America corps member, where she witnessed firsthand the effects of hunger on low-income communities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Columbia University and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Katy Lee: Vice President, Operations
Katy joined FEED in 2010 after more than 4 years as a senior account manager for UPS. Katy has a BBA in Marketing and Supply Chain Management from The University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Originally hailing from central Wisconsin, Katy enjoys exploring NYC with her French bulldog Pork Chop in tow.
Tascha Rudder: Vice President, Business Development
Before joining FEED, Tascha was Senior Vice President at Designers Management Agency, which provides talent representation and business development services to luxury fashion designers and brands. She also formerly held positions at ink&co, a branding and advertising agency, Don Buchwald and Associates, a talent agency, NBC, and attended Marymount Manhattan College in New York.
Prior to her arrival at FEED, Tascha lived in Cambodia where she worked with aid to artisans groups, advising on marketing and product development. During that time she also traveled throughout Africa meeting with artisans and working with a clean water and sanitation NGO.
Tascha now lives in Soho with her husband and daughter (a FEED-er in training).
Katie Steele: Office Manager
Katie joined FEED after graduating from the University of Alabama, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Fashion Retailing. Born and raised in Alabama, Katie grew up with New York City dreams and finds inspiration and possibility around every corner of the city.
Lindsey Swedick: Manager, Community and Content
Lindsey brings a background in international women's rights to her new role at FEED. Before joining the team, she worked in communications and executive support for an anti-sex trafficking non-profit based in India.
A San Diego native, Lindsey moved to New York City six years ago to attend The King's College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.
